Itinerary

Arrive in Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan. Spend the day exploring the city, visiting landmarks like Faisal Mosque, Daman-e-Koh, and Lok Virsa Museum.

Travel: Early morning departure for Chilas via the Karakoram Highway (KKH). The drive takes about 10-12 hours.
Scenic Stops: Along the way, enjoy views of the Indus River and Nanga Parbat, the ninth highest mountain in the world.
Overnight: Hotel in Chilas.

Travel: Continue the journey from Chilas to Karimabad, the main town in the Hunza Valley, which takes around 6-7 hours.
Activities: Visit the historic Baltit and Altit Forts and explore the charming streets of Karimabad, enjoying views of Rakaposhi and the Hunza Valley.
Overnight: Hotel in Karimabad.

Activities: Spend the day acclimatizing in Karimabad. You can visit local sights like the Hopper Glacier or take a short hike to Eagle’s Nest for panoramic views of the Hunza Valley.
Overnight: Hotel in Karimabad.

Travel: Drive from Karimabad to Passu, a 1-2 hour drive further up the Hunza Valley.
Activities: Upon arrival in Passu, explore the village and take a short hike to Passu Glacier or visit the famous Passu Suspension Bridge.
Overnight: Guesthouse in Passu.

Trek Duration: 4-5 hours.
Elevation Gain: Starting at Passu (2,500 meters), the trek ascends to Yashpirt (3,200 meters).
Activities: The trek begins with a gradual ascent along the Batura Glacier’s lateral moraine, offering views of the Passu Cones and the surrounding peaks.
Overnight: Camp in Yashpi

Trek Duration: 5-6 hours.
Elevation Gain: Yashpirt (3,200 meters) to Fatimasar (3,400 meters).
Activities: Continue trekking along the glacier, passing through alpine meadows and pastures. The trail offers stunning views of the Karakoram Range.
Overnight: Camp in Fatimasar.

Trek Duration: 4-5 hours.
Elevation Gain: Fatimasar (3,400 meters) to Guchesham (3,600 meters).
Activities: The terrain becomes more challenging as you ascend further, crossing rocky moraines and small streams. The campsite at Guchesham offers breathtaking views of the surrounding peaks.
Overnight: Camp in Guchesham.

Trek Duration: 5-6 hours.
Elevation Gain: Guchesham (3,600 meters) to Lupdur (3,800 meters).
Activities: Continue trekking through rugged terrain, crossing glacial streams and ascending to Lupdur, a remote campsite surrounded by towering peaks.
Overnight: Camp in Lupdur.

Trek Duration: 5-6 hours.
Elevation Gain: Lupdur (3,800 meters) to Batura Lake (4,000 meters).
Activities: The final push to Batura Lake involves traversing challenging terrain and rocky paths. Upon arrival, enjoy the serene beauty of Batura Lake, surrounded by snow-capped peaks.
Overnight: Camp at Batura La

Trek Duration: 4-5 hours.
Descent: Yashpirt (3,200 meters) to Passu (2,500 meters).
Activities: Complete the trek by returning to Passu village. Reflect on the journey and celebrate with the local community.
Overnight: Guesthouse in Passu.

Travel: Continue the journey from Besham to Islamabad (5-6 hours).
Activities: Upon arrival in Islamabad, rest or spend time shopping for souvenirs.
Overnight: Hotel in Islamabad or departure.
